Seniority Level Filter

The Seniority Level filter lets you target people based on their rank within their organization. Use it to ensure you are reaching decision-makers rather than junior employees who cannot act on your offer.

Available Seniority Levels

  • Owner / Founder - Business owners and company founders

  • C-Suite - CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, CMO and other C-level executives

  • VP - Vice Presidents across all departments

  • Director - Directors and Heads of departments

  • Manager - Team managers and mid-level leads

  • Other - Non-management employees

How to Use It

  1. Open Lead Finder and go to the Person filters section

  2. Click on Seniority Level

  3. Select one or more levels - you can select multiple (e.g. Owner + C-Suite + VP)

Which Level Should You Target?

This depends on what you are selling and who has the authority to buy it:

  • High-ticket B2B offers ($5k+/month): Owner, C-Suite, VP - you need someone with budget authority

  • Mid-market SaaS or services: Director, VP - department heads who own budgets

  • Tools used by practitioners: Manager, Individual Contributor - the people who will actually use your product

Combining with Job Title

Seniority Level and Job Title work well together. Instead of listing every possible senior title manually, you can:

  • Set Seniority to Director + VP + C-Suite

  • Add a Job Title keyword like marketing or sales

  • Get all senior marketing or sales people without guessing every title variation

Pro tip: For SMB targeting, Owner and Founder often have more buying authority than C-Suite titles. Many small business owners do not have a formal C-level title but are the sole decision-maker.
