Headlines Filter

The Headlines filter lets you search leads based on short descriptive text from LinkedIn profiles. Prospi has two Headlines filters - one for the person and one for the company - and they work differently.

Person Headlines vs. Company Headlines

Person Headlines (found in Person filters) - The short bio or tagline each person writes about themselves on LinkedIn. It often describes their specialty, niche, industry focus, or personal positioning.

Examples:

  • "Helping ecommerce brands scale with paid media"

  • "B2B SaaS Sales Expert | Founder | Revenue Growth"

  • "Certified Financial Planner | Wealth Management"

Company Headlines (found in Company filters) - The short tagline a company uses to describe what they do on their LinkedIn company page. It captures their value proposition or positioning.

Examples:

  • "The all-in-one platform for B2B outbound"

  • "We help dentists grow their practice"

  • "Cloud security for fast-growing startups"

How It Works

Enter keywords and Prospi will search the matching headline field. The search is keyword-based and matches partial words.

How to Use It

  1. Open Lead Finder

  2. Go to Person filters for person headlines, or Company filters for company headlines

  3. Click on Headlines

  4. Enter one or more keywords and press Enter

Example Use Cases

  • Person Headlines: Find agency owners who serve a specific niche - search "dental" or "real estate" to find people who identify with that industry in their bio

  • Person Headlines: Find people in growth mode - search "scaling", "growing", or "building"

  • Company Headlines: Find companies that describe themselves as serving a specific market - search "dentists" or "law firms" to find agencies targeting those industries

  • Company Headlines: Find companies with a specific positioning - search "enterprise" or "SMB" to identify their target market

Tips

  • Use short, specific keywords - Headlines search does not match full phrases reliably

  • Person Headlines work best combined with Job Title or Seniority to avoid surfacing junior people who use the same keywords

  • Company Headlines are especially useful when Industry filters are too broad - a company headline often reveals their actual focus more clearly than their selected industry category

Pro tip: Headlines are self-written, so the language is natural and specific. If your ICP consistently uses a particular phrase to describe themselves or their business, that phrase in the Headlines filter can surface highly qualified leads that other filters would miss.
