The Skills filter lets you find leads based on specific skills listed on their professional profile. Use it to target people with a particular expertise, technology knowledge, or competency that is relevant to your offer.
How It Works
Enter one or more skill keywords and Prospi will return people who have listed those skills on their profile. Skills data comes from self-reported information, so it reflects what people actively associate with their professional identity.
How to Use It
Open Lead Finder and go to the Person filters section
Click on Skills
Type a skill keyword (e.g. "Salesforce", "Google Ads", "Python", "cold calling")
Add multiple skills if needed - results will include anyone who lists any of the skills you enter
Example Use Cases
Selling a tool that integrates with a platform: Filter by that platform's name (e.g. "HubSpot", "Shopify", "Salesforce") to find people already using it
Selling to practitioners: Filter by the skill they use daily (e.g. "Facebook Ads" to find media buyers, "SEO" to find SEO professionals)
Finding technical buyers: Filter by a technology stack (e.g. "AWS", "React", "Kubernetes") to find engineering leads with specific expertise
Agency targeting: Find agencies by their service specialty (e.g. "email marketing", "content marketing", "PPC")
Tips
Use exact skill names people would write on their profile - abbreviated or alternative names may not match
Combine Skills with Seniority to find senior practitioners vs. junior ones
Skills can overlap with Headlines - if one filter is not returning enough results, try the other
Pro tip: Skills filters work especially well when selling a competing or complementary tool. Finding everyone who lists a competitor's product as a skill gives you a warm audience already familiar with the problem space your product solves.
