Person Location Filter

The Person Location filter narrows your lead list based on where the individual is located - not where their company is headquartered. Use it when the person's physical location matters for your outreach.

Filter Fields

The Location filter has four fields you can use independently or in combination:

Country

Select one or more countries from the dropdown. Start typing to search. This is the most commonly used location filter and works well for most campaigns.

Continent

Select a continent from the dropdown. Use this for broad geographic targeting when you want to cover multiple countries at once (e.g. Europe, North America).

State / Province

Type a state or province name and press Enter. Use this for regional targeting within a country - for example, targeting leads in California, Ontario, or Bavaria.

City

Type a city name and press Enter. Use this for hyper-local targeting - events, local services, or campaigns where proximity matters.

How to Use It

  1. Open Lead Finder and go to the Person filters section

  2. Click on Location to expand the filter

  3. Fill in whichever fields match your target - you can use one field or combine multiple

  4. Results will include leads who match all the conditions you set

Tips

  • Start broad: Country-level targeting gives you the largest pool. Narrow down to state or city only if you have a specific regional need.

  • Combine fields: You can set Country + City together to target a specific city while keeping country as a fallback for leads without city data.

  • Remote workers: Many people list their home city on LinkedIn, not their company's city. A city filter may surface people who work remotely for companies based elsewhere.
